39 Week Appointment

Sorry this post is a little late…I meant to post it this past weekend but I just forgot :).  My 39 week appointment was last Friday and it went well but there were no changes.  I was still 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced.  I was a little disappointed but I know that sometimes you can stay the same for a while.  My doctor wants to do an ultrasound this Wednesday (my due date!) to check my fluid levels and make sure my placenta is still working properly and that the baby is still doing well.  If for some reason my fluid levels are low then they would send me over to be induced that day.  If not, then I will see the doctor on Friday again for a check up.  If I don’t have him by next Tuesday (the 21st) then I will be induced.  So I guess he will for sure be here a week from tomorrow!  I really hope I just go into labor on my own sometime before then…I really don’t want to be induced.  Although, I am SOOOO tired of being pregnant and really want to meet him so I’m ok with having him next week.  I’ll just be patient (or try to be) until then!
