32 Weeks – Am I really going to get bigger then this?!?

Here’s a picture of me at 32 weeks…

I can’t imagine getting bigger than this, but I still have 8 weeks to go! My doctor’s appointment on Friday went well. I am measuring 2 weeks ahead so that makes me a little nervous. It may just be the way I’m carrying him (or at least that’s what I keep telling myself). My doctor didn’t seem concerned at all. I have an ultrasound at my next appointment so the doctor will be able to tell (approximately) how big he is, what position he’s in, etc. I’m really hoping we don’t have a big baby, but I guess it’s better that he’s on the bigger side rather then the small side. We’ll just pray that he continues to grow strong and healthy!

Shower of Love

A few weekends ago four of my very good friends threw me a baby shower brunch. I had so much fun celebrating James’ upcoming arrival with lots of great friends and family! It was such a special afternoon. The hostesses and my mom made it even more personal by each getting up periodically while I was opening the gifts and giving me words of wisdom and a “special gift”. I loved hearing from each of them and am so thankful that I have such a great support system to go to with any “mommy” questions that I might have (and I know I’ll have plenty!). Here are a few pictures from that special day.

The shower was such a sweet time to reflect on this incredible gift that God has given David and I. I am so thankful that God has chosen us to be James’ parents. I love this little boy so much and I haven’t even met him yet…I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like to look at him for the first time! Thank you to all of my wonderful family and friends who were there to celebrate with me. It meant the world to me that each of you were there! Thank you to my sweet friends who hosted and made this one of the most special days of my life. Words cannot express my gratitude! I love each of you dearly.

Much needed update & a few belly pics!

Wow, it’s been a while! I really need to get better at updating more frequently. We have been really busy this past month but I think it will slow down a bit over the next few weeks. This past weekend was my baby shower which was SUPER fun and I got a lot of great stuff for James! I’m going to do a separate post on the shower so stay tuned…

The pregnancy is still going really well! I’ve been so blessed by an easy pregnancy. I am now 29 weeks…only 11 more to go! I can’t believe how fast it’s all going. Last Friday at my doctor’s appointment I took the glucose test (gestational diabetes test) and also had to get the RhoGam shot (since I have a negative blood type). I was nervous about both but they ended up being no big deal at all. I haven’t heard back from the doctor yet about my glucose test, but I figure no news is good news!

James is definitely growing. I feel like I’m getting bigger by the day! I am carrying him more out front so I feel like my stomach is sticking out more then normal, but I guess I’d rather be growing more out front instead of wide. He is moving so much too. I never realized how much they move. It’s pretty neat feeling him so much but I have to say is sometimes gets annoying when I’m trying to go to sleep and it feels like he’s having a party in there! It seems like when I lay down at night he goes crazy! Even though it keeps me up at night sometimes, I wouldn’t trade the feeling for anything. I just can’t wait to meet this little boy!
